Besonderheiten: Dieser 10 Jahre alte Bunnahabhain Single Malt Whisky wurde 2013 destilliert und reifte in Bourbonfässern, bevor er im Mai 2024 von Cadenhead's abgefüllt wurde. Als unabhängiger Abfüller legt Cadenhead's Wert auf Authentizität und verzichtet auf Kühlfiltration sowie Farbstoffe, um den natürlichen Charakter des Whiskys zu bewahren.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Knuspriger Räucherspeck, Meersalz und herzhafter Torfrauch.
  • Gaumen: Cremige Cullen-Skink-Suppe, frische Minzblätter und ein markanter Rauch.
  • Abgang: Maritime Noten, geräucherter Tofu und eine samtige Süsse.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Bunnahabhain Distillery wurde 1881 an der Nordostküste von Islay von William Robertson und den Greenlees gegründet. Aufgrund der abgelegenen Lage wurden Unterkünfte für die Arbeiter vor Ort errichtet. Bunnahabhain ist bekannt für seine weniger getorften Whiskys, wobei diese Abfüllung eine rauchigere Variante präsentiert.

I just hope they hold up after my latest attempt to stop the thread from pulling out any more as I do really love wearing them. Perhaps I just got a bum pair?
