Cable marker properties

Texit's self-adhesive cable markers without cable ties are ideal for quick and cost-effective labeling of cables, wires, and lines with cable tags. This is because the self-adhesive cable markers can be printed on using conventional laser printers. This means you don't need to purchase a special printing system and still have a high degree of flexibility when it comes to cable labeling.

Thanks to the strong acrylic adhesive, they adhere very well to different surfaces. The marking is also very robust and, thanks to the protective laminate, is highly resistant to water, alcohol, oil, grease and household solvents.

These cable markers are available in sizes ranging from 12.5mm to 33.3mm in length and 22.mm to 136mm in height. In our standard range you will receive the self-adhesive cable markers in the color white. Do you need other colors (e.g. transparent)? No problem - you can select your desired color on our product page and send us an inquiry.

We can produce most colors for you as custom-made products. If you have any questions or require more information, simply visit our service page.

Cable marker printer

Texit's self-adhesive cable markers belong to the category of self-laminating cable labels that can be printed on with conventional laser printers (instead of the usual thermal transfer printers), which can be found in almost every office. As the item is supplied in A4 format, they can be easily fed and printed by laser printers. After printing, the labels can be attached directly to the corresponding cable and achieve durable results with long-lasting legibility. These cable labels are also ideal for use in machines (or switch cabinet construction) and technical systems. They can be easily applied by hand and the text field is protected from moisture, chemicals and other external influences thanks to the protective laminate.

To test the durability and resistance, you can simply add items (item no. can be found in the table) to the shopping cart and request free samples.

To be on the safe side, when printing on site using a laser printer, we recommend using "Single sheet feeder" and selecting the "Foil" driver setting. This is because the material (when used) is thicker than conventional paper.

Cable labeling self-adhesive

Cable marking is quick and easy with our self-adhesive cable markers. The protective laminate provides the marking with surface protection, protecting the self-adhesive markers from environmental influences and mechanical stress.

If you order diameters and colors from our standard range, we guarantee high availability in our warehouse and fast delivery. The delivery time for normal quantities and orders placed on one working day is 3-5 working days (within Germany). For other colors (e.g. red or blue) or sizes, we will provide your company with tailor-made offers / prices. These products usually have to be specially made in our production.

As you do not need a special printing system or accessories for these markers, you can start marking cables, wires and leads of different diameters yourself within a week.

Cable markers on DIN A4 sheet

A major advantage of Texit's self-laminating cable markers is that they are supplied on A4 sheets and not on rolls like many other cable markers (such as shrink sleeves or labels). This means that they can be easily printed using office printers and then attached directly to the cable. The self-laminating cable markers are very easy to apply:

  • Make sure that the cable is clean and dry at the point to be marked.

  • Then carefully pull the labeled marker off the A4 sheet.

  • First stick the labeled part of the label onto the cable and then wrap the laminate film tightly around the label. Make sure that no wrinkles form during wrapping

  • Now your cable is permanently marked and optimally protected thanks to the self-laminating film.

FAQ Self-adhesive cable markers

Is there a minimum order quantity for the cable markers?

We supply our cable markers for self-labeling on sheets (min. 50 sheets per order). We charge a minimum quantity surcharge for orders of less than 50 sheets.

These cable markers can be used in a wide range of applications and are also suitable for cable labeling with higher requirements (e.g. strong environmental influences). Thanks to the practical format and easy handling, cables and wires can be permanently and legibly marked with these cable markers in no time at all.

Which cables can be labeled with this marking?

Texit cable labels can be used to mark almost all electrical and power cables in industry. The markers can also be used for wires. They can be used to mark cable diameters from a minimum of 2.7 to a maximum of 35 mm. The labels can also withstand temperatures from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. The laminate film protects the print from water, oils, alcohol, cleaning agents and other substances at the point of use.

What requirements do the cable markers fulfill?

Permanently legible cable marking is essential for industry. Especially for technical systems and in control cabinets, as well as for IT connections and cabling, cable markers are essential for the clear identification of cables and conductors (this is also stated in the IEC 61439-1 (design verification for switchgear and controlgear and responsibilities) and DIN EN 81346-1 (structuring principles and reference marking) standards).

At Texit, we have various markers for different requirements. For example, we have stainless steel cable markers that can withstand even the most extreme conditions.

For the railroad industry, we have cable markers and labels that meet the special EN 45545 and EN 50343 standards.

For customers looking for cable markers for self-labeling, our KBL cable markers are a good solution. We also offer these in smaller quantities and these cable labels can be self-labeled using a conventional laser printer.

A stark, brutish "Petulia" with a pistol in its pocket
It's about time this movie got released on DVD. It's odd that a film could spawn a remake ("Payback"), a glib nod ("Grosse Pointe Blank") and countless homages ("The Limey," among others) and still be as underseen as "Point Blank." The lack of a disc certainly didn't help its low profile, but of course this is a challenging, idiosyncratic movie, even three decades later. The plot is simple -- a crook is betrayed by his wife and partner and spends the rest of the movie trying to get what he's owed -- but the editing and narrative structure is unusual. What in the world did audiences possibly make of this back when it was first released? It's a remarkable film, as startling and innovative as Richard Lester's "Petulia," although admittedly it's thematically much less complex. This edition is excellent, too. Great sound, great picture and a fantastic commentary by director John Boorman and big-time "Point" fan Steven Soderbergh, who laughingly admits to Boorman that he's ripped this movie off more than a few times. Their chat is more technical than gossipy and deals heavily with the editing, the production (the script was only 70 pages long), the studio's concerns about the picture, the actors, violence, surrealism (is it all a dream?) and Boorman's elaborate use of color (the tones of clothing and sets intensify over the course of the film). I've gotten a lot of good DVD's this year but in terms of content, presentation and extas, this is one of the best.

One of Marvins better offerings
Like the Killers before marvin was almost destined to play the part of Walker in this fast moving gut wrenching but always realistic thriller brilliantly collaborated by Marvin and Boorman who had no peer in this type of film. For those unenlightened souls who downplay Marvins career this was the one that to my mind surpassed most of his prior efforts with the exception of the Killers which was above par in all respects.Marvin was ahead of the pack in the 60s playing this type of hard nosed no nonsense gangster type, no other actor came close and type casted him to some extent in this type of role which unlike may actors became a positive in his career. Just to show his brilliance as an actor he gave us later comedy roles which produced more acting accolades than that material for which he was better known namely what we see in Point Blank. He carries the whole movie as did all the great actors of that era and many since which in itself is the hallmark of greatness. Marvin was a man who so perfectly personified the parts he was playing that often other actors looked wooden in comparison. He was one of the rare individuals who could take a small co starring role and end up being the star of the movie, no mean feat when you were up against the best in the business at that time and there were plenty in the 60 and 70s.To my mind Point Blank will always be a MARVIN film and this is not to downplay other good workmanlike performances in the film but it will always rank highly in Marvins body of work which is a cut above his contemporaries in the roles for which he was known and appreciated. As for the film it played out in fairly predictable fashion until the final scenes under the golden gate brige which gave a nice twist and left the viewer unsure whether Walker did in fact take his money or simply leave the scene of the set up empty handed. The obvious answer is that he waited till the coast was clear and took his money. It is hard to accept that he did otherwise. In retrospect a movie that stands up 40 odd years later and is just as watchable as it was in 67. No mean feat.

A forerunner to Dirty Harry and Lee Marvin shining...
If you liked "The Getaway" or "Dirty Harry", then meet their forerunner. "Point Blank" is explosive, fast-paced, and still the acting is there. Good acting that is. Lee Marvin is at his best. Angie Dickinson. in her strong performance, is as beautiful as ever. Keenan Wynn and Carroll O'Connor play their parts to the hilt and it truly shows. John Vernon (who was The Mayor in "Dirty Harry") plays a slimy type with diligence and very believable. Add the killing pace of the entire picture, and you have a hot item, as sharp and cutting as "Film Noir" can be. Yes, because this is still a "Film Noir", despite the fact that it was filmed in Color and in the mid-sixties. John Boorman ("Hell in the Pacific", "Deliverance" and "The Emerald Forest"), skillfully "color coded" the entire movie, bringing it from absolute colors at the beginning, to more red-tinted ones towards the end. The only difference from a true "Film Noir" is its fast-paced storyline, that would lead us to movies as I have mentioned above. Marvin's minimalistic acting, but forceful presence, is enough to fill every frame of the movie with tension, action and complete mayhem. Compare him in "The Dirty Dozen" and "The Big Red One" and you will see what I mean. A big plus was the release on DVD. An excellent transfer with a sharp picture resolution, a clearcut sound, make it a very enticing experience to watch it at home. This is not just a Highly Recommended title. It is simply a Must!
