CONSTRUCTION

Ease-of-use in the "PATRIK" way. We carefully selected a no-compromise light but durable construction especially for our freeride sail range.
The luff panel is a 2.5 MIL x/scrim-ply which loads gently but is more robust and higher load resistant compared to the dacron.
The bottom part of the sail is made of 5 MIL x-ply material to provide good protection against impacts without compromising the weight too much. The main window is a solid and thick 5 MIL monofilm which provides the best combination of visibility, impact resistance, and weight. All these things should still be combined with good shape stability, which is a key factor in this area (main power of the sail). For the top part of the sail, we chose a 4 MIL blue tinted monofilm, which is lighter and adds UV resistance where you don't need to see through.
As a further bonus, we chose a clear 5 MIL x-ply and blue 5 MIL x-ply along the leech and top panel, to add a touch of wear resistance to the area which is always stressed while rigging and rolling the sail.

TRIM

The ride on a foil sail needs to be smooth and easy, otherwise the changing power load will throw you off balance and get you into trouble. So make sure to put enough downhaul as indicated by the change of color on the batten sleeves. Use the outhaul to select the amount of backhand power you prefer according to your size and body weight. Use the lower clew position in strong winds or when feeling overpowered.

PRO TIPS

"This sail incorporates all our knowledge gained with our slalom foil sails. We're proud of the result. Transferring most of the locked and controlled feeling of our FoilS2 into a non-camber design has been a challenge, but even with the first prototype we knew that we could do it. Feel it for yourself. There isn't any better and easier foil sail out there."

Great little temper
Size: 53mm, Color: Silver
Works great! Only problem is that it doesn’t have that feel of tamping. Wish I had more feedback. It just goes down very easily and doesn’t have that feeling of solid tamping. Now that doesn’t mean it’s not doing its job. Works fine but would like some manual feedback.

Take the guess work out of the flow!
Size: 58.3mm, Color: Black
I got this because when my wife makes espresso, it's watery. When i make it, it's fine. We needed a controlled Tampering method so we both do the same job. This is heavy, and being able to use the whole hand instead of fingers, not much effort is needed. Since we purchased this, we were able to make consistent espresso shots for sure.

Not as good as I expected
When it first came, the box fell apart as I was taking it out, and a lot of some kind of dirt or sand kept falling out all over my table and floor. I had the take the entire thing apart and thoroughly wash it. After drying age reassembling it, I tried it on my portafilter that came with my Breville Barista Express, but, somehow, it doesn't always make the tamping level. You would think with the ridge that rests on the side of the portafilter that it would force it to remain level, but, somehow, it doesn't, at least not consistently. It also has varying lengths (heights, or depths), and a single spring tension, so you may still over tamping or under-tamp. I was expecting it would have a censor that would just detect once it reached 30 lbs of force and cut off after that, similar to a torque screwdriver, but that's not what this is. I'll still give it 3 stars because, despite the problems mentioned above, it at least produces some amount of consistency, even if that isn't measurable; but, I can't give it 5 stars because of those issues mentioned above.
