Um Holzbeuten vor dem Verwittern zu schützen, kann Leinöl als natürlicher Beutenanstrich verwendet werden. Die natürliche Farbgebung und Maserung des Holzes bleibt nach dem Anstrich erhalten und der Anstrich wirkt so sehr natürlich.
Leinölfirnis schütz die Oberfläche von Holzbeuten davor, dass Wasser und Luftfeuchtigkeit in die Holzstruktur eindringen kann. Trotz Beutenanstrich mit Leinöl, wird die Holzbeute durch UV-Einstrahlung leicht verwittern, daher sollte nach 2-3 Jahren der Anstrich mit Leinöl erneuert werden.
