April 1.
Tired of waiting for your orders? Still stuck in open group buys that may, or may not, arrive?
Don’t worry. Join us for InputGears’ very first group buy.
Ever thought about starting a business but lacked the capital? Just launch a group buy. They’ve been popular since 2014, filling business pockets with zero risk and no need for upfront investment.
In fact, the model has had its darker side, an estimated $14 million has been burned worldwide in undelivered mechanical keyboard group buys since 2015.
This deskmat is supported by 900mats and the good old (and now gone) CandyKeys, as a small celebration of CandyKeys having delivered all but two of its open group buys.
While the culture hasn’t changed much, customers in 2026 are still getting burned by group buys, even though the market has grown large enough for businesses to fund their own projects.
This mat is a tribute to those who are still in the group buy game.

Happy First of April.
