Über Bio-Baumwolle:

Die verwendete Baumwolle kommt aus kontrolliert biologischem Anbau (kbA). Die Baumwolle wird in Mischkultur und Fruchtfolge angebaut und fördert damit beständig nährstoffreiche Böden. Beim Anbau von Bio-Baumwolle werden ausschließlich natürliche Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel verwendet, deshalb wird auf schädliche Pestizide und Herbizide komplett verzichtet.

Organic Cotton Standards (OCS) ist eine Zertifizierung, die die anteilige Menge von biologisch angebauter Baumwolle im Endprodukt überprüft und nur die in der Zusammensetzung verwendeten Fasern berücksichtigt. Es gibt zwei Stufen von OCS-Zertifizierungen: OCS 100 ist ein Zertifikat für Produkte,die zu 95 bis 100 Prozent aus biologisch angebauten Materialien bestehen. OCS blended ist ein Zertifikat für Produkte,in denen biologisch angebaute mit konventionellen Materialien gemischt werden.
