Deze motor- en transmissiesteunen zorgen voor een aanzienlijk stijvere verbinding tussen de motor en transmissie en de carrosserie. Hierdoor worden bewegingen van deze componenten tijdens gascommando's en lastwisselingen tot een minimum beperkt. Het resultaat is een aanzienlijk directere uitvoering van gascommando's en een beter rijgedrag door de invloed van motorbewegingen op de voertuigdynamiek te verminderen.

WAAROM HEB JE HET NODIG

De af fabriek gemonteerde motor- en transmissiesteunen zijn zacht om redenen van comfort, ontworpen voor de overeenkomstige motorprestaties en een typisch alledaags rijprofiel. Deze lagers bereiken snel hun limiet in het geval van voertuigen met aanzienlijk verhoogde prestaties of voertuigen die worden gebruikt in de racerij.

De gevolgen zijn een vertraagde uitvoering van gascommando's, de invloed van de motorbewegingen op de voertuigdynamiek tijdens belastingwisselingen en mogelijke schade aan extra units, slangen, kabels en het uitlaatsysteem door overmatige motorbewegingen. Overigens slijten de fabriekslagers van motor en transmissie bijzonder snel als gevolg van deze belastingen.
