Glencadam 2008/2023 - 15 y.o. Madeira Cask Finish

Besonderheiten: Dieser 15 Jahre gereifte Single Malt aus der Glencadam Distillery erfährt ein Finish in Likörweinfässern von der portugiesischen Insel Madeira. Mit nur 5.826 individuell nummerierten Flaschen spiegelt er die gediegene Handwerkskunst und die lange Reifung in traditionellen Dunnage-Warehouses wider.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Einladende Aromen von Karamell und Ingwerkeksen, begleitet von karamellisierten Pekannüssen sowie getrockneter Ananas und warmen Backgewürzen.
  • Gaumen: Vielschichtige Noten von Pfirsichkuchen, Sirup und cremigem Karamell, ergänzt durch geröstete Walnüsse, Pralinen sowie kandierte Fruchtschalen.
  • Abgang: Lang anhaltend mit Eindrücken von Branntweinbutter, Honigkuchen und gesalzenem Karamell, unterlegt von einem Hauch dunkler Schokolade und Zimt.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Glencadam Distillery, gegründet im Herzen der East Highlands, bürgt für eine eher kleine, aber charaktervolle Range an Single Malts. Ihre zwei traditionellen Kupfer-Pot Stills erzeugen eine besonders zarte und weiche Spirituose, die in einem historischen Dunnage-Warehouse reift. Nach rund 180 Jahren der überwiegend in Blends Verwendung fand Glencadam mit eigenen Originalabfüllungen zunehmend Anerkennung bei Whiskykennern.
