Als die Arbeiterbaugenossenschaft das Land an den Seen kaufte, gab es in der Gegend seit vielen Jahren einen Kartoffelanbaubetrieb. So war der Spitzname Kartoffelræknerne naheliegend, als die Konstruktion in fadenscheinigen Reihen zu wachsen begann. Die Entwicklung besteht aus 480 Häusern.
