Die "made in Germany" getönten Funkenschutzplatten in anthrazitgrau von Glas Star besteht aus Einscheibensicherheitsglas (ESG). Die ekige Form bietet eine modernes und elegantes optisches Zusammenspiel, in Kombination mit abgerundeten Kaminen. Das ESG-Glas ist aufgrund des thermischen Herstellungsverfahrens beständig gegen extreme Hitze und Belastungen, wie zum Beispiel durch das Gewicht des Kamins, Kratzer oder Schläge. Die Standard-Varianten auf Glas-Star erfüllen alle Anforderungen der DIN 18896.
