Auf der Finca El Chalun baut Juana Ordoñez gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann José seit über 50 Jahren Kaffee an. Die Farm liegt in Aldea El Pajal und ist nach den ehrwürdigen Chalun-Bäumen benannt, die den Kaffeepflanzen natürlichen Schatten spenden.

Mit viel Hingabe und Handarbeit pflanzte das Ehepaar seine ersten Kaffeebäume selbst und erweiterte die Farm später Stück für Stück. Heute unterstützen auch die Kinder der Familie beim Anbau und bei der sorgfältigen Aufbereitung der Bohnen.
