Die gelernte Steinbildhauerin und ehemalige Meisterschülerin Franz Erhard Walthers an der Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg, Annette Streyl (*1968 in Münster), hat in den vergangenen Jahren ein beachtliches und vielfach ausgestelltes Werk geschaffen. Streyls Arbeiten kreisen um die Erfahrungswelt des Alltäglichen, um die von Menschen erschaffene und gestaltete Umwelt. Sie ist eine Spurensucherin, die die Architektur und die sie schmückenden Bildwerke liest und entzaubert. Seit Mitte der 1990er-Jahre setzt sich Streyl in ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit mit den Themen Architektur und Raum auseinander. Insbesondere die Bedeutungsebenen und -strukturen von Architektur thematisiert sie in ihren Rauminstallationen und Sandsteinskulpturen. Die machtvolle emblematische Bildwirkung und -sprache der Architektur wird in Streyls Werk sichtbar und nachvollziehbar.Ausstellung: LEVY Galerie, Hamburg 12.1.–17.2.2010

My puppy’s favorite

If you love your dog…don’t buy this.

We have a nonaggressive English cocker. She opened the ball every time she played with it. And yes, we are closing it as hard as we can. I do not recommend this toy for any dog! This is a dangerous toy for a dog that is not supervised.

Fun but not for rough play.

The ball contented our “golden” Jaxson for about 15 minutes. He then thought it was a regular ball and it’s just a little delicate for a big dog. I just wrote it off as a loss. Great idea but should be more durable.
