Sie untersucht die Idee von »Bewusstsein« über alle Arten und Lebewesen hinweg und fragt nach der Intelligenz von Tieren, Pflanzen und Pilzen, nach der Empfindungsfähigkeit von Maschinen und der Kommunikation zwischen den Arten.Die von Lucia Pietroiusti und Filipa Ramos herausgegebene Publikation enthält neue Texte von über fünfzig Expert*innen, darunter Marisol de la Cadena, Ted Chiang, Peter Gabriel, Amy Hollywood, Tim Ingold, Karrabing Film Collective, Kapwani Kiwanga, Elizabeth A. Povinelli, Merlin Sheldrake, Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing und vielen mehr.
Die Kuratorin LUCIA PIETROIUSTI ist Leiterin der Abteilung für Ökologie an der Serpentine Gallery in London und Gründerin des seit 2018 laufenden Projekts General Ecology. Pietroiusti arbeitet an der Schnittstelle von Kunst, Ökologie und der Struktur von Systemen. Sie ist Kuratorin von Sun & Sea (Venedig Biennale, 2019) und Mitherausgeberin des Textbands More-than-Human (2020).
Die Arbeit der Autorin und Kuratorin FILIPA RAMOS beschäftigt sich mit der Beziehung zwischen zeitgenössischer Kunst, Film und Ökologie. Sie ist Kuratorin von Art Basel Film und leitet seit 2020 den Master-Studiengang des Institute Art Gender Nature an der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz in Basel.

Enjoyed reading some of the best poems ever written. Took me places I’ve never been.
Format: Paperback
Some of the poems were difficult to comprehend and may require a re-reading to understand their full meaning. But that is the brilliance of G. Brooks, putting you in places of the mind that one has never been. Won’t recommend for newbies!

A Great Historical Noir
Format: Kindle
As a lifelong Angeleno, the dark history of the city is often glossed over. Much like Chavez Ravine, the history of Union Station is one of violence and the forced displacement of the original Chinatown and its residents. It's in this setting where the mysterious death of Chinese actress Lulu Wong (who is somewhat based on the real life of actress Anna Mae Wong) begins, and took me into the lives of the amazing Chow sisters - May and Gemma - both of whom have their own reasons for wanting justice. They know the LA cops won't bother to solve the death of a Chinese woman, no matter how famous. It's also a matter of saving their beloved Chinatown from being destroyed in order to build Union Station. I absolutely loved how immersive this story felt and how authentic all of the characters were.
