Ihre Praxis entwickelte sich von abstrakter Malerei in den 1950er und 1960er Jahren hin zu innovativen Stoffassemblagen, Installationen mit Alltagsmaterialien, Keramiken und Collagen.Inhaltlich kreisen ihre Werke um Themen wie die untergeordnete Rolle der Frau, häusliche Gewalt und soziale Ausgrenzung. Mit Stickereien, Stoffdekonstruktionen und Haushaltsgegenständen schuf Secol Textilkunstwerke, die Wunden und Widerstandsfähigkeit symbolisieren und sich intensiv mit politischen und sozialen Problemen unserer Zeit auseinandersetzen.
Mariuccia Secol wurde 1929 in Castellanza (Norditalien) geboren und lebt und arbeitet in Daverio in der Nähe von Mailand. Nach ihrer künstlerischen Ausbildung begann sie mit einer weitreichenden Ausstellungstätigkeit und gründete 1974 zusammen mit anderen die feministische Künstlerinnengruppe Gruppo Feminist Immagine di Varese, mit der sie u.a. auf der Biennale von Venedig 1978 ausstellte. Ihre Werke werden heute weltweit gewürdigt und auf wichtigen feministischen Kunstausstellungen gezeigt, wie The Unexpected Subject: 1978 – Art and Feminism in Italy im FM Centre for Contemporary Art in Mailand und Cooking, Cleaning, Caring: Care Work in the Arts Since 1960 im Josef Albers Museum Quadrat in Bottrop.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things

I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2.
Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read

What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
