Einigen unserer alten, orientalischen Teppiche verleihen wir durch ein aufwendiges Verfahren ein moderneren Look. Diese Teppiche nennen wir Vintage Teppiche. Vintage Teppiche sind Design-Objekte, bei denen traditionelle Handwerkskunst auf zeitgenössische Einrichtungskultur trifft. Durch die neue Färbung wird den traditionellen Mustern der Orientteppiche ein zeitloser Charakter verliehen. Teppichen, die wegen ihrer Farbgebung nicht mehr im Trend liegen, wird so ein zweites Leben in einem moderneren Gewand geschenkt. Die verwendung alter Teppiche als Rohstoff für neue Produkte ist ressourcenschonend und nachhaltig.

Material

Der Flor dieses Vintage Teppichs wurde aus hochwertiger Schurwolle handgeknüpft. Schurwolle wird durch das schonende Scheren von Schafen gewonnen. Schurwolle ist ein nachwachsender, natürlicher Rohstoff mit einer Reihe beeindruckender Eigenschaften: Durch den natürlichen Fettgehalt der Wolle stößt die Oberfläche Wassertropfen ab und ist so auf natürliche Weise gegen Schmutz imprägniert. Wolle bietet außerdem eine hervorragende Wärmeisolation, wirkt regulierend auf das Wohnklima und dämpft den Schall.
