A beautifully matched Victorian pair, these teardrop earrings showcase Natural Agate cabochons with painterly layers of orange, russet and translucent milky white. ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).
MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 40mm long including hooks.
Teardrops are 26mm long.
Bead tops are 5mm in diameter.
Agates measure 20mm long x 10mm wide.
WEIGHT: 6g (pair).
MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold hooks, Pinchbeck, Agate.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
Condition:
VERY GOOD: The Agates are smooth, well-matched and free from chips or scratches. The Pinchbeck mounts, rope borders and applied branch and bead details are intact and secure, showing light surface wear and a soft, even patina consistent with age. The 9ct Gold hooks are secure with only minor signs of wear.
