Die englische Anlagemünze Britannia gehört zu den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Goldmünzen weltweit.

Das Design der 1/10oz Goldmünze 2026 zeigt die Britannia stehend ("Standing Britannia"), welche 1987 von Philip Nathan gestaltet wurde. Gekleidet ist sie mit einem Rüstungshelm und einem wehenden Gewand. In ihrer rechten Hand hält sie einen langen Dreizack, welchen sie auf den Boden aufstützt und mit einem seitlich ausgestreckten Arm weit von sich hält. Ihren Kopf hat sie nach rechts gedreht und der Blick folgt dem Dreizack. Am linken unteren Motivrand befindet sich ein kleiner Kreis, in diesem ist ebenfalls ein hologrammartiger Dreizack zu erkennen, welcher je nach Betrachtungswinkel zu einem Vorhängeschloss wird. Dieses Merkmal dient der Fälschungssicherheit der Münze. In ihrer linken Hand hält die Britannia einen Ölzweig. Sie stützt sich auf einen runden Schild, welcher den Union Jack, also die Nationalflagge des Vereinigten Königreichs, zeigt. Der Hintergrund weist ein aufwendiges Muster auf. Es besteht aus kleinen Sechsecken, welche zusammen eine wellenartige Optik erzeugen und mittig einen Kreis um die Abbildung der Britannia bilden. Umgeben ist dieser Kreis von einem dünnen Ring, in welchem "DECUS ET TUTAMEN" steht, was übersetzt etwa "Ein Schmuckstück und Schutz" bedeutet. Durch einen Zierkreis vom restlichen Motiv getrennt, steht am Rand die Gewichtsangabe von 1/10oz, das Prägejahr 2026, der Feingehalt 999.9 Gold und der Name der Münze. Ein weiterer Zierkreis schließt das Schriftband am Rand der Münze ab. Auf der Münze ist zudem der Name des Designers P. Nathan in feiner Schrift auf einem Felsen mittig am unteren Münzrand zu Füßen der Britannia eingeprägt

Die Wertseite der Goldmünze zeigt das erste Münzporträt von König Charles III. Sein Bildnis wurde vom britischen Bildhauer Martin Jennings entworfen. Das Konterfei befindet sich auf einem gemusterten Hintergrund. Um das Bildnis zieht sich der Schriftzug "CHARLES III - D G REX F D" sowie der Nennwert von 10 Pounds. Zum Münzrand hin wird die Inschrift durch einen Zierkranz begrenzt.

It's fun to play fetch with it in the house, but I wouldn't tug at it. Playing tug could rip it.

After a good scrub, the dogs love them!

These gumby toys are flexible rubber, and exactly what you'd expect for the price. I ordered three to replace two that had been gifts well loved by my dogs. I read reviews mentioning smell, but wasn't really prepared for it when the package arrived. They all arrived zip tied to a paperboard backing. They all smelled like a fine fragrance designed for robots - like burning motor oil with floral undertones - and the zip ties were stained a sickly green wherever they touched Gumby. Initially, my dogs wanted nothing to do with them, even after a good scrub. I left them to air out in the shed for a few days and then ran them through the dishwasher (without cleanser!) and they were good to go. My dogs love these toys. I know they're not going to last long! I know the arms will get yanked or chewed off first, and then the corner of Gumby's head will go missing. Eventually, his head will be ripped into tiny pieces and strewn about my living room. I know that, sooner or later (and probably sooner!), Gumby will be little more than a torso with weird square legs. And that's okay, because that means my dogs enjoyed the toy. People complaining about a $7 flexible rubber toy not being appropriate for heavy chewers don't understand what dogs need, or what dog toys are for. Part of the satisfaction that chewing brings for dogs is also shredding. Dogs destroy stuff. Some more than others. It's what they do. No toy will last forever if it's used! But I have five dogs, including bully breeds and a Saint Bernard, plus two occasional visitors, and these toys have lasted longer than expected (even if their arms are off in minutes!) The dogs in the pictures are 90 and 120 pounds, modeling both a well loved older Gumby and a brand new one.
