Herkunft

Die Stadt Shiraz ist die Hauptstadt der iranischen Provinz Shiraz und liegt im Südwesten des Irans. Die Teppiche wurden in dieser Region ursprünglich von Nomaden geknüpft, die in der Gegend wohnten. Mittlerweile sind die meisten von ihnen in kleineren Dörfern in der Provinz sesshaft.

Das Muster der sogenannten Shiraz Teppiche besteht – für Nomaden typisch – aus Motiven mit einfachen geometrischen Figuren und Rauten in der Mitte des Teppichs. Der Fond ist häufig Rot und die Motive sind in verschiedenen Blauschattierungen gehalten. Vereinzelt werden auch Teppiche mit stilisierten Blumen und Vogelmotive geknüpft.

Die Shiraz Teppich sind traditionelle Bauernteppiche und daher sehr robust und von äußerst solider Qualität.

Material

Der Flor dieses Shirazs wurde aus hochwertiger Schurwolle handgeknüpft. Schurwolle wird durch das schonende Scheren von Schafen gewonnen. Schurwolle ist ein nachwachsender, natürlicher Rohstoff mit einer Reihe beeindruckender Eigenschaften: Durch den natürlichen Fettgehalt der Wolle stößt die Oberfläche Wassertropfen ab und ist so auf natürliche Weise gegen Schmutz imprägniert. Wolle bietet außerdem eine hervorragende Wärmeisolation, wirkt regulierend auf das Wohnklima und dämpft den Schall.

Packaging and Presentation Another thing worth mentioning is the packaging. Everything arrived extremely well-packed. Every individual part of the chair was wrapped securely, including bubble wrap protection for the components. The hardware and accessories were neatly organized, and the chair even came with the necessary tools for assembly in case you don’t own a drill or tool set. The presentation and packaging were excellent and showed real attention to detail. Overall Impression Overall, this is a fantastic office chair for the price: comfortable, supportive, sturdy, easy to assemble, and packaged exceptionally well. I’d absolutely recommend it and would confidently give it a five-star rating.
