Die Macallan-Destillerie wurde von Alexander Reid, einem Landwirt und Lehrer, gegründet. Der ursprüngliche Name der Gegend war „Maghellan“, abgeleitet vom gälischen Wort „magh“, das fruchtbaren Boden bedeutet, und „Ellan“, nach dem Mönch St. Fillan – der bis 1400 eine enge Verbindung zur Kirche hatte, die auf dem Gelände des Macallan-Anwesens stand. Bauern stellten seit Jahrhunderten Whisky auf ihren Speyside-Höfen her und nutzten ihre überschüssige Gerste in den ruhigeren Wintermonaten.

Die Double Cask Reifung dieser Whisky vereint das Beste aus zwei Welten.
Zwei unterschiedliche Eichenholzarten schaffen die perfekte Harmonie in einem außergewöhnlichen Single Malt Whisky. Dieser Double Cask Whisky reift in zwei Arten von Eichenfässern, handverlesenen und mit trockenem Oloroso-Sherry gewürzten Fässern. Amerikanische Eiche verleiht zarte Aromen von Vanille, Zitrus und Butterscotch. Europäische Eiche liefert die unverkennbare subtile Würze von Macallan. Disappointing
Color: Bright White Accent Light
Terrible. I bought a lot of these, thinking they would be better quality, since they cost more than most of the other solar lights on Amazon. But they rarely all work -even in summer after some of the sunniest days. (Yes they are “on”). My husband bought some really cheap plastic ones, made by another brand, which average out about 2 dollars a piece and those actually work great.

Bought 4 - burned out in 6 wks
I paid full price and purchased four of these; within six weeks one was inoperable and won't turn on at all. Dead. One other is barely hanging on and two are still doing okay. Given the price, I'd expect far more.

Purchased 6 lights, two failed within 8 weeks photo shows dead la get on left vs functional one on right. Sadly, I have received no response or support from the company. Who knows how long the other 4 lights will last.

pricey but worth it
I just happened to check reviews on this and saw a couple negatives. I don't doubt that they have had some issue with the solar panels but that's not been my experience. I've purchased 6 over the span of a year and a half from various merchants including amazon. Gama Sonic is pricey in general, yet I've found I can rely on the quality of the brand. I have other models as well. This particular is one of my favorites because of the versatility in placement, whether staked in the ground or in a pipe or fence for a higher mount. The hook is solid as is the stake itself. The brightness is great as long as you understand what you're getting in lumens and it meets the specs for your purpose. My first 2 have now passed the 2 year mark and going strong. Of course, there's not much sun during the Jersey winter so they don't have the juice to last long but for 8-9 months of the year they burn all night. I anticipate having to replace the battery next season at some point. 3 year life is fine for me. Bulb is supposed to last 10 years. Not sure I'll be around to update. I also appreciate that if you have slim enough hands, you can access the on off switch from underneath for those times you don't want it or wish to change the brightness. The solar panel design is also very functional with a somewhat stylish look. Personal taste on that one I guess but it does soak up the rays. Like I said, pleased enough to go back twice more.
