Geschmack:
Mild süßer Geschmack durch den niedrigen natürlichen Zucker mit Karamellnoten.

Parfüm:
Mildes Tannenaroma.

Farbe:
Es variiert je nach Herkunftsregion. So zeichnet sich der Tannenhonig von Mainalo, Parnonas und Helmos durch die darin erzeugten Cremehighlights aus und heißt "Vanille Tannen". Im Allgemeinen hat Tannenhonig eine starke Honigfarbe, in einigen Bereichen dunkler und in anderen heller.

Kristallisation:
Aufgrund seiner geringen natürlichen Zuckermenge kristallisiert es überhaupt nicht und ist das einzige mit dieser Eigenschaft unter den anderen Honigsorten.
