Auch das Auspacken macht Spaß: einfach an der Lasche ziehen, um die äußere Verpackung zu entfernen und einen durchsichtigen Behälter zu enthüllen. Im Inneren verbirgt sich eine Color Reveal-Puppe mit vier Überraschungstüten. Alles herausnehmen und den Behälter mit Wasser füllen, dann die Puppe ins Wasser tauchen und hin- und herdrehen. Das Wasser färbt sich pink – wenn man die Puppe herausnimmt, enthüllt sich ihr Gesicht. Jede Puppe hat eine andere Kombination aus Augenfarbe, Haarfarbe, Hautton und trägt einen verzierten Gymnastikanzug – und es gibt noch mehr Überraschungen: Die Tüten enthalten noch eine langhaarige Perücke, einen Rock, ein Paar Schuhe und einen kleinen Schwamm. Den Schwamm in Wasser tauchen und damit das Gesicht und die Haare der Puppe abwischen. Die Farbe ihrer Augen, Lippen und Haare enthüllt sich! Kinder können diesen Moment mit kaltem oder warmem Wasser immer wieder neu erleben. Mit dem Rock, den Schuhen und der Perücke lässt sich der Look der Barbie vervollständigen. Jede Serie hat ein eigenes Thema. Bei diesen Color Reveal-Puppen ist das Thema Tiere: Der Gymnastikanzug jeder Puppe hat einen niedlichen Aufdruck, die Röcke leuchten in modischen Farben und die Schuhe und Perücken passen tadellos dazu. Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!

Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters.
That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception.
SPOILER:
The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured.
I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action

This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4.
Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down.
There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books.
The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
