Besonderheiten: Der Langatun Old Wolf Smoky Whisky vereint meisterhaft die rauchigen Aromen von torfgeräuchertem Malz mit der fruchtigen Tiefe von Sherryfässern. Durch die Reifung in Eichenfässern, die zuvor Rotwein beherbergten, erhält dieser Single Malt eine zusätzliche Komplexität. Die neue Verpackung unterstreicht die Qualität dieses edlen Tropfens.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Karamell, geröstete Mandeln, dezente Salznoten, reifer Pfirsich, Waldhonig, Kirschenkompott und ein Hauch von süsslichem Rauch im Hintergrund.
  • Gaumen: Intensiv, sehr würzig, leicht süsslich, Dörrfrüchte, Zartbitterschokolade, geröstete Nüsse, Holz, Gewürznelken und harmonisch eingebetteter Torfrauch.
  • Abgang: Aromatisch, dezente Tannine, eher trocken, holzig und leichter Rauch.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Langatun Distillery AG, gegründet von Jakob Baumberger im Jahr 1857, blickt auf eine fast 150-jährige Tradition in der Kunst des Brauens und Destillierens zurück.
