A cornerstone of the Parliament mythos, The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein finds George Clinton and the P‑Funk collective at their most playful, theatrical and irresistibly funky. Originally released in 1976, the album blends horn‑driven grooves, cosmic humour and airtight musicianship from legends including Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and Garry Shider.
This 2024 BGP / Casablanca reissue (HIQLP 144) brings the album back to vinyl with rich, full‑bodied clarity — a perfect continuation of the Parliament saga and an essential piece of the P‑Funk universe.
