The 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras from Sigma is the first entry into Sigma's Art series of professional lenses, with an emphasis on artistic expression and the creative potential of the lens. With a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, floating inner focusing system, and Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) you'll have quick and accurate control over the artistic effects achieved by the lens' high quality elements.
For wide angle photography, this 35mm lens and its circular 9-bladed f/1.4 aperture ensure excellent brightness and blurred background (bokeh) effects. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides sharp and high contrast images even in backlit conditions.
The lens' Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) and floating inner focusing system ensure that you experience quick, quiet and precise autofocusing whenever you need it. Adjust focus using either autofocus (AF), or full-time manual focus, without having to switch camera modes or change settings - just flick the switch from AF to MF.
For greater build quality and strength, all metallic parts and the new Thermally Stable Composite compound material (TSC), are housed internally. Its brass made bayonet mount has both high accuracy and durability, and a special treatment is applied to its surface giving it greater strength and making it highly resistant to long-term daily use.

- With a bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 this lens allows you to capture images with beautiful defocused background bokeh effects in darker conditions - using faster shutter speeds and lower ISO sensitivities.
- Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM)
- This lens' motor is driven by ultrasonic waves to provide quiet, high speed autofocus. This Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) ensures high speed and quiet AF as well as full-time manual focus override by rotating the focus ring.
- Floating Internal Focus System
- For stable focusing, this lens moves its inner lens groups without changing the lens length. It also compensates for astigmatic aberration and provides extremely high optical performance for close-up photos.
- Minimum Focusing Distance: 11.8"
- This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 11.8" so you can capture wide-angle close-ups from nearly a foot away.
- Anti-Flare Super Multi-Layer Coating
- This lens' coatings reduce lens flare, internal reflections and light scattering that can occur between the surfaces of its glass elements.
- USB Dock & SIGMA Optimization Pro Software
- Because of its redesigned series of lenses, Sigma developed proprietary software (SIGMA Optimization Pro) and an optional USB docking system that allows you to update the lens' firmware and adjust its parameters such as focus. The 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM A1 Lens is compatible with the USB Dock.
- Special & "F" Low Dispersion Elements
- This lens incorporates "F" Low Dispersion (FLD) glass elements, which have performance equal to that of fluorite, and Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements. By optimizing the power alignment of the lens, chromatic aberration has been corrected, achieving high image quality through the entire focusing range.
- DG Lens for Digital & 35mm Film SLRs
- This is a large-aperture lens with wide angles and a short minimum focusing distance. Because of its great peripheral illumination, or lack of vignetting, it is an ideal lens for DSLR Cameras and traditional 35mm SLRs alike.

- The 67mm front filter thread is fixed, allowing rotating polarizing filters to be used with the lens.

- Quality Control & Sigma's MTF "A1" Measuring System
- Sigma used to measure lens performance with the standard MTF (modulation transfer function) measuring system, using conventional sensors. However, they have since developed a proprietary MTF measuring system - dubbed "A1" - using 46MP resolution Foveon direct image sensors. Previously undetectable high-frequency details are now within the scope of their quality control inspections.

Great except for one small flaw

Our dog likes to get at the juicy innards of every toy we buy him. We tried this one as it promised to be "bullet proof". It lasted about a week which in fairness is 6.5 days longer than most of the toys we buy last. He ripped off the wings which was to be expected and not an issue. It took him another 6 days to finally locate a weak point and break in. It appears that the tag is not made of kevlar but merely sewed on. I guess it would be better if they had just sewed it on top but they made it part of the overall structural integrity. This provided a small area of weakness which our dog located and proceeded to exploit. It's like having the death star but installing a small thermal exhaust port that allows for access to the very core of the station. Makes little sense. Overall I am pleased with the overall sturdiness but in the end this toy had a small design flaw that my dog was able to locate and exploit in his neverending quest to gain access to and eat polyester fiber stuffing

STRONG AS A MONSTER (albeit a cute one)

My aggressive chewer ate the adorable monster's ear off on the first day, but who cares? The body of the monster has been indestructible so far (one week). My 7 month old pup cbews it for a good 10-15 minutes at a time several times per day. Great quality product and outlasting all the other toys I bought (which she destroyed in 10 minutes - even the ones rated "Level 4 toughness" from Walmart. I think it's hilarious in my photo that the monster's expression perfectly shows his disappointment about missing an ear, LOL.

King has met his match.
Color: Large - Billy the Beast Monster
I received my dog's toy this evening when I place the toy on the ground my dog King went crazy. He is a one-year-old Pitbull and love to tackle any toy he believes he can't take down, but Mr King has met his match with this toy. He was using all of his bite force to demolish the toy but the toy actually has worn him out. He ran around my yard for about 30 minutes with the toy in his mouth producing the squeaking sound from the toy as well. Hold up the toy is totally filthy with dirt almost covering the entire green and yellow belly of the toy. I have brought king mini toys in the last couple of months and this is the best toy that holds up to his energy level. I tried to retrieve the toy and place it in his dog house because it is far beyond his bedtime, but he wanted to play catch me if You can with my new toy. This is a great toy for those big energetic dogs that love to take their aggression out on maybe some furniture or perhaps that favorite shoe you do not want them to chew on. I am totally sold on this toy I brought from the seller who placed the items on the Amazon site. I plan on purchasing a another toy from the buyer to keep King energy at a low level if I can. I just checked on my dog and he actually has taken the toy with him inside of his dog house and now the toy is snugged under his left paw. I'm one of those smart owners I'm not going to even try to take it from him tonight but hopefully in the next week I can sneak it from him and it may be perhaps wash it. I did this item AA Plus

Puppy Love
Color: Small - the Goofy Monster, Color: Small - the Goofy Monster
Short backstory.... My daughter moved in with her 3 dogs recently and brought her dogs toys. Over the course of the last 3 months, my dogs have managed to steal every last toy they could find.
fast forward to purchasing this Blue Monster. It came today and was immediately grabbed by one of my dogs. She refused to give it up even for her favorite ball. Ten minutes later another dog had the baby monster and was not giving it up!!!! (think growling) I thought that I would put the monster up for the night to allow for some sleep but it felt like it had been soaked in slobber ( I am sure I saw it drip ;) ). My dogs seems to think this little blue monster is their one true love.
Now for some facts.
1. Baby monster is quite small in comparison to my other Bite Force dog toys. It is not too small for my dogs but it is definitely not a size I would give to my daughters Pit that thinks she is a vacuum.
2. Squeaker lasted about 2 minutes before my dog drool invaded it. Currently no squeaky sounds can be heard...just slightly squishy sounds
3. No holes despite my dogs trying. There has been constant chewing (by Standard Poodles) on this little guy for the last 5 hours and not one little open area. Trust me this is a huge accomplishment. Stuffies last 10 seconds in this house.
If you need a toy that will last longer than most I highly recommend Bite Force. The are designed for tough chewers and take a beating
