Care Instructions

Each alderwood candle holder is initially treated with a natural blend of linseed oil, safflower oil, beeswax, and carnauba wax for conditioning and protection.

To care for the wood, re-oil whenever it appears dry or before storing long-term. For quick care, use a natural plant-based oil such as safflower oil or coconut oil. Linseed oil or tung oil may also be used when you can allow a few days for curing. Food-safe cutting board oil is another suitable option.

Use only with the included glass tealight holder or a properly fitting replacement glass insert. Never place a loose candle directly on the wood. Burn within sight and keep away from drafts, children, pets, and flammable materials.

Replacement beeswax tealights and additional glass holders are available separately, so you can keep the glow alive all year.
