In The Electric State RPG, you and a few other Travelers are heading out on a Journey – a road trip through the Electric State. You all have your own personal reasons for reaching your destination, and on your way there you will be forced to stop at various Locations.
At these Locations, you will need to work together and overcome your differences to overcome the obstacles blocking your progress. Your challenges can be social or physical – sometimes even violent – or virtual, forcing you to use a neurocaster to enter vast neuroscapes, taking the risk of losing yourself forever in the Electric State.
Your opponents can range from simple bandits to zombified neurocaster death cults and even behemoth drone growths, bizarre physical representations of self-spawning sentient entities inside the neuroscapes.
The Electric State RPG rulebook is a beautifully illustrated hardback volume printed in top quality paper with previously unpublished art by Simon Stålenhag. Beyond the rules it includes a detailed runthrough of the US in the alternate 1990s and extensive tools for generating Locations and Journeys, as well as a pre-made sample Journey and several complete Locations to include in your Journey or play as short stand-alone adventures.
The book gives you all you need to play for dozens of sessions without the need for separate expansions and supplements.
