Adjacent to the Saratoga Race Course is the somewhat secretive private club. It was founded in the 1930s as a place for men to read the dailies before the races. There are rooms for members to stay in over night during the race meet - F. Ambrose Clark was a member and would stay here on occasion as opposed to driving all the way back to Cooperstown, NY.

"Saratoga Reading Room, a private club for racehorse owners, trainers and breeders. Members include “the who’s who" of Saratoga racing. If you want to become a member of the Reading Room, an outstanding member, the best way is to buy yourself a great horse."

Mack has been involved with breeding and racing Thoroughbred horses since 1963. He was a member of the Board of Trustees, New York Racing Association (1990–2004), Chairman of the New York State Racing Commission (1983–1989), Member of the New York State Thoroughbred Racing Capital Investment Fund (1987–1996) and a Member, Board of Directors, of the New York State Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund Corp. (1983–1989). Mack is a contributor to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF).

In 2011 Mack started the Earle Mack Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation Award. The award is presented to a recipient who made significant contributions towards improving the safety and welfare of Thoroughbred horses during and after their racing careers. The first winner of the award was Frank Stronach and in August 2012 Mack presented the award to Ogden Mills "Dinny" Phipps. In June 2013, Mack presented the award to Chef Bobby Flay for his actions on behalf of Thoroughbred retirement.

Mack has owned and/or bred more than 25 Thoroughbred stakes winners, and currently owns about 75 Thoroughbred horses in the United States, England, France, Italy and Argentina. His most notable horses include:

Manighar (the first horse to ever complete the Group 1-treble of the Australian Cup, Ranvet Stakes, and BMW Cup)

Peteski (Canadian Triple Crown Champion, Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame, Sovereign Award winner, and Canadian Horse of the Year, 1993)

Bruce's Mill (Sovereign Award winner, 1994)

Cryptocloser (Sovereign Award winner, 1997)

Electrocutionist (Horse of the Year in Italy, 2005)

Mr. Light (Grade III winner, Gulfstream Park; set the world record for fastest mile ever run by a Thoroughbred in a competition, 2005)

November Snow (winner of the Grade I Test Stakes and Grade I Alabama Stakes at Saratoga, 1992, and international high-weighted 3 year old filly for that year)

Roxinho (Brazil's Triple Crown winner and Horse of the Year, 2002)

Captain Canuck (Partnered with Centennial Farms Niagara Inc to race this 2010 Canadian Triple Crown Contender)

Dylan Mouth (triple Group 1 winner in Italy, including 2015 Premio Roma)

Mack has successfully supported legislation for transparency in all horse sales in Florida. Headlining issues are medication, prohibition against dual agency, prohibition against enhancement medication usage, ownership transparency, and disclosure of medical records in the state of Florida. In August 2012, Mack was elected to the Board of Directors of the Jockey Club, an organization founded in 1894 and dedicated to the improvement of Thoroughbred breeding and racing.

On June 28, 2011, Mack sold Star Plus, son of Alpha Plus, to George Iacovacci on the conditions that he could never be raced again and that Mack would be immediately notified if they no longer wished to take care of the horse so that a suitable retirement home could be found for him. But shortly after the sale Mack learned that the new owner of Star Plus had put the horse back in training and started to enter him in races.[30] After a public outcry, Mack was able to buy back Star Plus and retire him to Old Friends Equine, a horse retirement program in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

Great toys for dogs or cats
Size: Small 2"
Sturdy, durable toys. My dog loves the jingle. Great size. Fits in her mouth but not so small we have to worry about her swallowing them.

Perfect for your blind babies
Size: Large 3", Size: Large 3"
I know most dogs that go blind in their later years do just fine, but when they were very active with a daily ball fetch routine, it can be tough to watch. These little balls are exactly what I needed!! The jingle ball inside is great and as long as you've got plenty of obstacle free space, it's just like playing ball when he had his sight. He also loves to just carry it around and chew on it. Highly recommend

Classic for a Reason — Thick, Reliable, and Actually Works
Size: 8.4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
There’s a reason the German formula of NIVEA Creme has a cult following, and after using it consistently, I understand why. The appearance alone tells you this isn’t some watered-down, trendy moisturizer trying to be cute. It’s thick, dense, almost old-school in the best way — that clean white cream in the iconic blue tin feels intentional and substantial. The scent is subtle, clean, and nostalgic without being overpowering. It smells like “taken care of,” not perfume. If you’re sensitive to heavy fragrance, this strikes a solid balance. Now let’s talk performance. This is not a lightweight lotion — and that’s the point. It goes on thick, and you can feel the protective barrier immediately. It’s especially excellent for hands, elbows, knees, and dry winter skin. I use it at night on my face and hands, and by morning my skin feels calm, restored, and noticeably smoother. It’s the kind of moisture that actually lasts instead of disappearing in 20 minutes. Absorbency depends on how much you use. A little goes a long way. If you apply it generously, it will sit on the skin for a bit — but in a way that feels protective, not greasy. If you warm it up in your hands first and apply moderately, it absorbs beautifully and leaves a soft, healthy finish. For the price, the value is honestly impressive. One tin lasts forever because you need so little. This isn’t a “reapply every hour” product. It’s reliable, consistent, and does exactly what it promises. If you want something ultra-lightweight, this isn’t that. But if you want serious hydration, skin protection, and a product that’s stood the test of time for a reason — this delivers.

So good
Size: 8.4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I am a Nivea loyalist. I love this crème for the winter when the air is super dry, it’s so hydrating for dry skin. I love that it’s the German formal, which makes it better. The tin is huge, you get so much for the price, it lasts so long. It’s so rich and thick and goes on so nice. It doesn’t have a strong smell, more like a clean scent. Also, it goes on thick, you don’t need a whole lot,nor it takes forever to rub in. I warm it in my hands first, just a finger tip amount, rub in my hands and then press it into my face, and then it just rubs in, no white cast. Leaves the loveliest glow. It’s not vegan, if you want a vegan formula, try the Nivea Soft, which I use too, in the summer, when I don’t need a thick formula. It doesn’t cause me to break out, again don’t use too much. I love that you can use it for face, hands and body. It literally is just for moisture. Nothing fancy. The tin is recyclable. I take it everywhere. I keep a little tin in my car, my purse, my overnight bag. My face feels soft and supple even hours after using it. It’s just so lovely.

Nivea Moisturizing Cream
Size: 8.4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I loved the Nivea cream; it works really well to hydrate my skin and leave it soft—and best of all, it's fragrance-free.
