This is a composite rope composed of a high strength polyester fiber and a high strength Copolymer fiber. This combination gives it excellent abrasion resistance properties compared to any other type of rope. This strong construction offers flexibility, excellent abrasion, and heat resistance. Because this rope stretches less than nylon line, the snapback (the recoil) is lower.
New Polymix rope has an elongation of 21% at full load of 55 tons. The rope stretches evenly and recovers well after loading. The ropes have the same breaking strength wet and dry and does not absorb water and remains flexible wet as well. More stretch is not safe either, you don't want to have a rubber band between two vehicles, think what would happen to a harp buckle if something were to break somewhere in the structure.
Key features: exceptional abrasion and wear resistance even in wet conditions. 18-20% lighter than regular polyester ropes, no water absorption, flexible and supple, no kinks and excellent rot, mildew, and UV resistance, just slightly heavier than water, so it floats in the water. These ropes are so hard-wearing that they last for years, even with daily use in mud and water.
