Vetafarm Doxyvet Liquid

Broad spectrum antibiotics are an essential tool to have on hand when a bacterial infection is suspected. Doxyvet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic liquid designed to be effective against common bacterial infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Doxyvet is easily administered in water suitable for birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, cats and other small animals.

Doxyvet is a broad spectrum, oral antibiotic liquid for the treatment of common bacterial infections caused by Doxycycline susceptible organisms in small animals. These may include skin, respiratory tract, urinary tract, oral and ear infections as well as abscesses and wound infections.

Susceptible bacteria may include Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria spp., Bacteroides spp., Bordetella spp. and Klebsiella spp.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE.

Birds - 1mL (20 drops) per 100mL of drinking water (¼ tsp per 3½ Fl.oz). Chlamydophila (Psittacosis) treat for 42 days, other susceptible bacteria treat for 7-10 days.

Rodents - 0.15 mL (3 drops) per 100mL (or 1 drop per 1 Fl.oz) of drinking water. Treat daily for seven days. Change water daily and keep out of direct sunlight.

Cats - First Day -2 drops per Kg (or 4 drops per 5lb) body weight (5mg/Kg) orally, then 1 drop per Kg (or 2 drops per 5lb) body weight (2.5mg/Kg) orally for 7-10 days.

After Doxyvet treatment give Synbiotic to stimulate normal gut flora.

Storage

Store below 30°C (room temperature) in a cool, dark area. Refrigerate if possible.
