Both sides can be shown to the audience and they will see it's really a chaos of cards facing different ways. Eventually, without any handling, when the deck is spread out on the table, all the cards are face up, except for one face-down card -- the selected card!
In addition, CCT can also be performed stand up, which turns the original table routine into a parlor act, so you can perform for larger audiences and higher fees.
