The PowerBond™ by Dayco® Race Series balancers are designed especially for high revving and high horsepower street and race applications where SFI approved balancers are required. This small and light weight harmonic balancer sharpens throttle response and allows the engine to rev out faster.
The unique combination of material and castings in this 10% overdrive balancer provide the maximum strength and durability of bonded dampening rubber. Each balancer is dynamically balanced for a smooth operation. Increasing the diameter of the pulley also increases the speed of the supercharger leading to an increase in boost. This helps reduce the need to lower the diameter of the blower pulley which would otherwise result in less belt wrap.
This balancer features a precision CNC machined AUSI 1045 forged steel hub bonded to an equally strong steel inertia ring. Advanced design means that Race Series balancers are very light for an all steel product. The steel inertia ring of the Race Series models is positively protected against forward and backward movement and has the assurance of bonded rubber to eliminate spinning. Every model has easy to read computer etched timing marks. All Powerbond Race series balancers meet SFI specification 18.1.
This 10% overdrive harmonic balancer suits Holden Commodores and similar platforms fitted with the L76, L77, L98 and LS3 V8 engines.
