The main difference between The Swag Bed and our  Original Dog Bed is the filling — The Swag Bed features a single layer of plush wool (instead of a double layer) and a slimmer, stylish pillow design.

Despite its sleeker look, as shown in the photos, The Swag Bed remains thick and luxurious with a height of approximately 10cm, providing excellent comfort and support for your dog.

It comes with a removable, durable 100% cotton corduroy cover secured by a velcro closure. For extra protection, especially if you have a puppy or an incontinent dog, you can add a waterproof mattress protector inside the bed.

Care Instructions for Your Life of Riley Dog Bed

To keep your dog’s bed fresh and comfortable, regular airing and flipping are essential. Wool naturally wicks moisture away from your dog’s body and helps regulate temperature, but it needs good airflow to dry thoroughly. Since the wool filling isn’t designed to get wet, we highly recommend using one of our waterproof mattress protectors if the bed is used for puppy crate training or for incontinent dogs.

Outer Corduroy Cover Care:

• Machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle or hand wash (we recommend our Life of Riley Laundry Wash).

• Hang to dry inside out in the shade — avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.

• Do not tumble dry.

• As our covers are 100% cotton, prolonged sun exposure will cause colors to fade faster than synthetic fabrics.

White Inner Mattress / Cushion Care:

• Spot clean only. Do not machine wash or remove the wool from the inner lining.

• The zipper is for manufacturing purposes and is not intended for removing the wool filling.

• For stains or odors, spray with natural enzymatic cleaners like Nature’s Miracle or Odorex.

• Air the mattress regularly in the sun when washing the cover to keep it fresh and dry before replacing the cover.

Important: Removing the wool from the inner liner will make it difficult to reposition flat and may damage the zipper. Replacement inner liners are available but at your own expense.

With proper care, your Life of Riley dog bed will provide comfort and durability for many years to come.
