Brain Tuners are based on brain wave studies using electroencephalography (EEG) technology to map different states of consciousness known as Delta, Theta, Alpha, and Beta. Delta is associated with deep sleep. Theta is associated with meditation and dream states. Alpha is associated with relaxed awareness, creativity, and heightened learning. Beta is associated with high alertness and focus.

When the Brain Tuners are simultaneously sounded – one in the left ear and the other in the right ear – the two hemispheres of the brain function together to integrate the two sounds, creating a third, different tone called a binaural beat. When the Fundamental Brain Tuner tuning fork is sounded with a Delta, Theta, Alpha, or Beta tuning fork the difference between the two tuning forks creates a binaural beat which is heard as a pulsation. The binaural beat gently signals the brain to shift into a different state of consciousness.

When we go through a 24-hour cycle, we shift into different states of consciousness determined by our life requirements. One can visualize a car that shifts into different gears as necessary to meet the requirements of the road, i.e. a low gear for pick up and climbing hills, a medium gear for slow driving, and a high gear for highway cruising. In a similar way, living our life requires shifting into “different gears” for different situations.

What are the Brain Wave States?

Beta

Beta state is associated with peak concentration, heightened alertness, hand-eye coordination, and visual acuity.

  • Peak-concentration
  • Heightened alertness
  • Cognition
  • Visual acuity

Alpha

Alpha state is a place of deep relaxation, but not quite a meditation. In Alpha, we begin to access the wealth of creativity that lies just below our conscious awareness – it is the gateway, the entry point that leads into deeper states of consciousness.

  • Relaxation
  • Quietly Alert
  • Introspective
  • Creativity
  • Visualization

Theta

Theta is known as the twilight state which we normally only experience fleetingly as we rise up out of the depths of delta upon waking or drifting off to sleep. In Theta, we are in a waking dream, vivid imagery flashes before the mind’s eye and we are receptive to information beyond our normal conscious awareness. Theta has also been identified as the gateway to learning a memory.

  • Waking-dream
  • Vivid imagery
  • Meditation
  • Memory
  • Intuition

Delta

Delta is associated with deep sleep and long trains of thoughts about nothingness or energy without form. During delta, we plug into our source, the Universal Energy Field, and use the energy to revitalize our mind and body.

  • Detached Awareness
  • Healing
  • Deep Sleep
    Using the Brain Tuners

    The Knee Tap Technique

    1. The method for sounding the Brain Tuners is called “the knee tap”:
    2. Hold your tuning forks by the stems with moderate pressure – not to tight and not to lose. Do not hold your tuning forks by the prongs because the prongs need to vibrate in order to create the sound.
    3. Gently tap the flat side of the tuning fork on your knee cap. Do not hit your kneecap. All it takes is a gentle firm tap and your tuning fork will sound.
    4. It is best to tap the Fundamental Brain Tuner on one knee and then the Delta, Theta, Alpha, or Beta Brain Tuner the other knee.
    5. Bring the forks slowly to your ears, about 3 to six inches from your ear canal, and listen to the sounds.
    6. Shifting your State of Consciousness
    7. Once you have mastered the knee tap method then tune into your current state of consciousness. Follow these steps:
    8. Consult the chart above and ask yourself what state of consciousness you would like to shift into.
    9. Select the Fundamental Brain Tuner and the Brain Tuner that matches the state of consciousness you want.
    10. Holding the Brain Tuners in your hands ready to tap, visualize and/or remember a positive experience for the state of consciousness you want.
    11. Tap the Brain Tuners and listen to the pulsation. Let go and allow yourself to shift.
    12. When the sound fades, switch the tuning forks in your hands and tap them again. Enjoy!

Our dog loves it but it wasn’t durable enough to last
Color: Dogwood Jack, Size: Large, Color: Dogwood Jack, Size: Large
Our lab took to it as soon as we gave it to her. Perfect size for our 80 lb yellow lab. However, now that it’s in about 10 days, she’s able to break off chunks from this bone that are dime size or larger, and we have to throw it away

No problems after a year and a half
Color: Dogwood & Calming, Size: Medium
Have been regularly buying these for my corgi for about a year and a half. The 2 pack lasts about a month or 2 each time. Pieces break off in small enough pieces that they safely pass through his digestive system. He gnaws each one down to about 1/4 the original size before we take it away and give him a new one. He continues to have regular bowel movements and has a healthy appetite so I can’t imagine any problems arising after so long. I have tried other alternatives and every other similar chew breaks off in larger pieces and didn’t feel comfortable letting him chew/eat them. I noticed there are a few 1 star reviews saying their dogs got sick off these but after a year and a half I have had 0 issues with this product. I guess it depends on the dog and how big of pieces they are swallowing. My dog ingests pieces about the size of a grain of rice so just pay attention and you should be fine.

    Great for big chewers
My dogs have to have these. Have to. When I come home from work they each grab one and prance around like they just caught a moose or something. This past weekend my big boy doodle wanted me to toss it to him like I do his tennis ball. He kept dropping it for me to toss. It was hard explaining that it would be the worst boop he ever felt. Ok, lets talk about longevity. I've had these for over a month and they still look great. Barely looked chewed at all. These are tough and poodles supposedly have soft mouths but mine chew on these a lot. They are large. My female is 60 pounds and my Dood is 90. These chew toys keep my pets engaged when I am busy doing all the things at home so that takes some pressure off of me. I would buy them again for sure.
