INTRODUCTION TO ENAMELING IN A KILNThis two day class will introduce students to the art of enameling. In this class, students will use a kiln to create enameled forms. Kiln safety will be discussed. Several projects will be completed that emphasize the techniques used in basic enameling, such as sifting enamel, wet packing enamel, and using stencils to create design with both opaque and transparent enamels. Supplies: Students must wear closed toe shoes at all times during class.
