"The juicy 2020 comes from a year with more rain than average and moderately warm temperatures that resulted in an early harvest of a generous crop that delivered wines of lower alcohol and more freshness. It fermented with some 20% full clusters and had a very soft vinification and extraction with no pump-overs. This is always very aromatic (it's what its name means...), and in 2020 it's even paler and more ethereal then the 2019 that was already impressive and quite a change from previous vintages and other wines from the cooperative. Only 20% of the volume matured in oak and the wine is not oaky at all and has contained ripeness and very light extraction. This is bright and elegant, fresh and very pleasant to drink. A 10 year old Gran Reserva from a top family producer for under $20! A blend of 60% Tempranillo 20% Garnacha and Carignan 20%, this is astonishingly good value. It's hard to believe this wine has patiently aged for 10 years. There's still lashings of primary fruit on the nose with just a hint of dried fruit making it a really heady mix. Silky smooth, mellow plummy fruit this is a slurper and it's in the zone ready to be drunk! Delicious.

"There is a change in style here in this warm-ish, dry and healthy year that delivered a good crop with ripe grapes and slightly lower acidity, but the wine comes through as balanced and harmonious, not warm at all. They used 40% full clusters for the fermentation in concrete with a short maceration and moderate extraction. The wine was in concrete eggs, tulips and a handful of Radoux barrels. The wine is very different from all the vintages from the past, and like some of the wines here, it's being repositioned to lower volume, more quality and also a higher price.
