Reproduction of Painted Pebbles by Silvia Vassileva
Silvia Vassileva — "Painted Pebbles" is a compelling example of contemporary textural abstraction that draws from the legacy of mid-century modernism while embracing a distinctly organic sensibility. The work aligns with the broader tradition of decorative abstraction, where the focus shifts from representational depiction to the exploration of form, texture, and color as primary aesthetic concerns. Vassileva employs a loose, painterly technique that emphasizes the tactile quality of the medium, with visible brushstrokes and subtle layering creating a sense of depth and materiality. The composition is characterized by an asymmetric balance, with the pebble forms distributed across the canvas in a way that suggests natural randomness yet maintains a cohesive visual rhythm. This arrangement, combined with the generous use of negative space, allows each form to breathe and contributes to the overall sense of calm and contemplation. The color palette, dominated by muted teals and warm mustard yellows, is both harmonious and evocative, suggesting the interplay of water and earth. The work's interpretive significance lies in its ability to transform a simple, everyday natural element into a profound visual meditation on stillness and the quiet beauty of the natural world. Vassileva's approach resonates with the principles of organic modernism, where the aim is to create art that feels inherently connected to nature and promotes a sense of well-being. The piece serves as a bridge between the historical tradition of decorative abstraction and contemporary design, offering a visually soothing and conceptually rich work that invites prolonged engagement and reflection. For more art by Silvia Vassileva click here.

Puppy's favourite, but not built to last.
My puppy absolutely adores this tug-of-war ball! However, I have to mention the durability—it started fraying after just a few days of use. While it’s still usable, the material doesn’t hold up well to enthusiastic chewing and tugging. If your pup is a strong chewer, this might not last long.
That said, for the price and the joy it brings my puppy, I’d still consider buying it again—just with the expectation that it’s more of a short-term toy. Great for light play, but not built for heavy-duty tug sessions.

Disappointed
This was a Christmas gift for my Shih Tzu. It started unraveling within hours. It's not made well. I'll be returning this product.
