Exploring the Enigmatic Scene of "Dead Fox Lying in the Undergrowth" by Edgar Degas
Artistic Context: The Life and Times of Edgar Degas
Edgar Degas, born in 1834 in Paris, was a pivotal figure in the Impressionist movement. His artistic journey was marked by a deep exploration of movement, light, and the human condition. While he is often celebrated for his ballet dancers and café scenes, his lesser-known works, like "Dead Fox Lying in the Undergrowth," reveal his fascination with nature and the complexities of life and death.Influences on Degas: Impressionism and Beyond
Degas was influenced by the Impressionist movement, which emphasized capturing fleeting moments and the effects of light. However, he diverged from traditional Impressionism by focusing on more structured compositions and a unique perspective on everyday life. His interest in realism and the natural world shaped his approach to animal subjects, allowing him to convey emotion and narrative through his art.Degas' Unique Approach to Animal Subjects
Degas had a distinctive way of portraying animals, often infusing them with personality and emotion. The earthy color palette of browns, greens, and muted yellows evokes a sense of realism and connection to the natural world. The juxtaposition of the vibrant undergrowth and the lifeless fox creates a poignant contrast. This duality reflects the balance of life and death in the natural world, a theme that resonates throughout Degas' body of work. It challenges viewers to appreciate the beauty of life while acknowledging its transient nature.Technique and Brushwork: Degas' Mastery of Oil Painting

This combination brings the painting to life, inviting viewers to explore its intricacies. The Texture of Undergrowth: A Study in Detail

Solid unit, not showy 9thank you)
Style: R-S202BL, Configuration: w/o Wire and Plug
FAST!! shipping, complete, well packaged, excellent price for Yamaha durability. Easy hook-up, normal sized manual (thanks again!). Smile, intuitive controls. Base and treble by front-panel pots. I would have paid extra for a lighted remote.

This item was sold at a NEW price and it was CLEARLY USED.
Style: R-S202BL, Configuration: w/o Wire and Plug
Unfortunately I really didn’t get to operate this item due to the fact that it didn’t work. After I connected my speakers and plugged it in, I turned on the power switch and the lights came on, but no sound. No discredit to Yamaha, nor the item... this is on the seller.
It was sold at a new price and it was clearly a used item. Upon opening the box, I noticed :
1. The power cord was wrapped with a dirty, pink hair band.
2. The unit was not in plastic like a new item.
3. The FM antenna was missing.
4. The remote had old, used batteries in it.
This should not have been re-sold.

a cult that still goes on...
Style: R-S202BL, Configuration: w/o Wire and Plug
Update in 2023: I have to add that I made this ppurchase via Amazon and it arrived at me in mint condition (Amazon Renewed scheme with 90 days money back guaranteed). For hifi components, if it works for the first quarter, it will then work rest of years. Mine though opened box but mint in sense that both its cosmetics and functions work perfectly. I purchased beefier models of Yamaha same series, the As 301r and As 501r afterwards via Amazon. Other than delicacy, the AR 202 receiver's overall performance is comparable to its leveled up siblings... AR 202 has already become a legend in hifi history since 2018... Yet of course audiophile ears are more picky and won't stay still with this kit. Therefore I purchased the silvery stereo amps afterwards cux I knew prices would go up very high and it is now proven positively and more so... Grab one even if used as ye still may... The AR 202 has an extraordinarily energetic drive in stereo sound given it's the youngest brother in the family. It brought much glory to the whole brand indeed...
Review in 2019: "...performs much better than the beefed up version 100v Yamaha A-S301 silver in way of responsive and agile bass, larger soundstage, impressive midrange and fine treble. no wonder it is the best selling amp in 2017 and 2018. i suppose the cult still goes on......"
