This is a high capacity piston-fill pen. With an extra twist of the piston knob when near empty, a small extra reserve is released which allows writing to continue until a convenient time to refill.

The Optima can be ordered with optional custom grinds – Goccia (Tear drop shape designed for Asian style lettering) Flex, Double Broad, and Italic.
