In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.

For 2026, the A5 Cover will not be sold separately. It will be bundled with the 2026 Hobonichi Techo A5 English Cousin Planner Book.

Printed with calligrapher Yuichi Inoue’s work on unbleached cotton. Out of the many “single character” works by Inoue that are bold and overflowing with vitality, “Jo” from his later years, a work that can be described as the culmination of his experience, was used for this design. The cover interior is dual toned, with a dignified ink black and a sky blue color.
