The ears are the only analogue way of capturing 3D binaural cues that would otherwise be non-existent with traditional stereo setups. If you are after immersive environmental sound scapes, these are a very inexpensive way to introduce you to binaural audio, and make your recordings stick out from the rest.

Use them as "Tree ears" for immersive 3D sound capture or create your own binaural microphone by attaching them to or around, almost anything - or metal surfaces—be it a box, tree, hat, cap or your fridge or street lamp post!

The base features four mounting points for vertical or horizontal positioning on tree, or mounting on bridge rails, etc, plus has two strong magnets on the back for versatile attachment options, you can even attach them to themselves!.

Available with or without microphones; if you choose the with capsules option, they include a 1.5m Mogami cable with premium 3.5mm connectors and a complimentary stereo splitter for easy integration with your plugin power gear.

If you choose the ears with microphones option, the microphones are treated with water ingress protection, this should protect the capsules against rain, if you also add the fake fur to the ear, this will help further protect the capsules from both water ingress and wind noise. The capsules have IP67 membranes installed on the front, and we also treat the jack's innards with rubber sealant for safe outdoor drop rigs. If you are using your own capsules, we suggest that you glue/seal in the capsules to the ears with rubber solution or quick curing silicone sealant, be careful not to cover the front of the capsules in the process, and check to see if there are any gaps from behind the capsule to the front, and fill with silicone if there are, do this once the first application has cured.

We have some brown fake fur that can be glued to the outer ears for wind protection and added rain protection, the fur isn't sourced from microphone outlets, it's a cheap alternative that is quite effective, enough for two ears, you need to supply your own glue and scissors!
