Pink Quartz is a distinct quartz variety, separate from Rose Quartz, first identified in the 1930s in Maine, USA, and re-discovered in Minas Gerais, Brazil in 1959. The specimen combines pink-toned quartz with metallic Pyrite inclusions, resulting in a light-pink hue accented by gold-toned crystals. The piece exhibits natural cavities on its surface and may present minor exterior imperfections typical of natural crystals.
