Summary:
Sold for Parts Only / Not Working.
The spring mechanism in the OPEN switch is broken and the lid can be opened unintentionally as the switch does not automatically pull back into the closed position.
You can manually slide the OPEN switch back into the closed position, but without something to hold it in place, it's easy for the switch to move back into the open position.
Apart from that, the device is functional and cosmetic condition is almost perfect.

Product Condition (Appearance):
Front Face : No callouts.
Sides : No callouts.
Rear Face : No callouts.
Internal Battery Compartment : Some corrosion on the battery terminal inside the lid.
No dents or signs of crushing.
All external facing screws present and tightened.

Product Condition (Functionality):

Product Information:
The Sony MZ-E520 is the final iteration of the 5xx series of MiniDisc players (500,501,505,510,and 520). It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality. 
Released in 2004, it incorporates MDLP, anti-shock 'G Protection',a digital amplifier, a six band equalizer, and ATRAC type S technology. 
It weighs 70 grams without a battery or disc installed. 
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
