This exceptional long wakizashi, bearing the signature (Shinano no Kami Fujiwara Daidō), dates back to the Edo period. It is in a pretty good state, showcasing a beautiful hamon and accompanied by a Tokubetsu Hozon certificate, attesting to its cultural and historical value.

Blade Features:
The blade is crafted in the shinogi-zukuri style with a torii-zori curvature, featuring a chu-kissaki (medium tip) and a rounded fukura. It has an iori mune (roof-shaped back) and a suriage nakago (shortened tang). The hamon is a beautiful gunome midare (undulating pattern), showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of the period.
Condition:
The blade is in good condition with some rust and minor scratches typical for its age. The koshirae (mountings) and shirasaya (plain wooden scabbard) are included, though there may be some looseness and wear, as indicated in the photographs. Note that some accessories, such as the mekugi (peg), may not be included.
