The 4th generation Airpods were released in September 2024 in two versions, those with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and those without. It features a new design and the H2 chip, improved Bluetooth 5.3 and a smaller charging case. The ANC model also comes with a charging case that works with the Apple Watch charger.
