The base of the unit is crafted from type-304, 22-gauge stainless steel and measures 2 inches in width by 2 inches in height by 5/16 of an inch in thickness. A black nylon post extends from the base of the unit and attaches to the black neoprene bumper, which is incredibly durable and meant to absorb force. To install the unit, a sheet metal screw provided by the manufacturer is inserted in the center of the bumper. Once installed, the bumper extends 2-1/8 inches from the mounting surface. Installation instructions are included from the manufacturer and easy to interpret.
