🖤 The Golden Eclipse: Type A Translucent Wuji & Solar Yellow Heavy Armor Bangle

Step into the absolute stratosphere of Fei Cui (翡翠) connoisseurship with this spectacular, museum-weight Type A Monochromatic Masterpiece. Weighing a monumentally luxurious, historic 82.55g, this bangle is hand-sculpted from a single, exceptionally dense block of raw untreated jadeite. Displaying a rare, dramatic collision of deep charcoal strokes, icy translucency, and a vivid splash of golden solar energy, it effortlessly bridges ancient imperial dynastic power with an aggressive, high-fashion modern aesthetic.

❄️ The Lapidary Miracle of the Sovereign Broad-Band Frame

In the elite world of fine jadeite collecting, a broad-band bangle (traditionally celebrated as a Kuan Ban / 宽版) that exceeds 80 grams is an absolute geological triumph. Because it requires a massive sacrifice of premium, high-density raw old-mine stone to sculpt walls of this scale, a piece of this magnitude represents the ultimate statement of luxury:

  • The Translucent Ink-Wash (Wuji) Canvas: The body of this bangle possesses an exceptional, fine-grained crystal structure. The Partial Translucent Wuji base evokes the sweeping beauty of a traditional Chinese watercolor landscape (Shanshui - 山水). Rather than appearing flat or opaque, light penetrates deeply into the smoky charcoal matrix, creating a beautiful gelatinous depth that makes the black ink strokes look as though they are drifting inside clear water.

  • The Prosperous Solar Accent: Elevating this piece into an incredibly rare tier of collecting is a striking, high-visibility splash of vibrant Yellow. This rich, golden earth-toned inclusion—revered as the prosperous Huang Fei (黄翡) aspect of the stone—cuts through the monochromatic landscape like dawn breaking over a misty peak.

  • The High-Profile Heavy-Armor Proportions: Sculpted with a flat inner rim for a secure, second-skin fit, this piece features a highly coveted 59.8mm inner diameter. Boasting an exceptionally wide 15.3mm band width and a thick, pillowy 9.8mm wall thickness, it offers a massive, commanding three-dimensional presence on the wrist.

  • Collector's Note (Authenticity): Features a classic internal line—the definitive, whisper-faint birthmark of natural, untreated Type A jadeite crystal growth boundaries. This organic micro-structure is completely enclosed within the dense mineral matrix, ensuring that the structural sovereignty, immense strength, and daily wearability of this heavy-mass shield remain absolutely uncompromised.

🔮 The Symbolism: The Sovereign Ink Shield & Luminous Wealth

This masterpiece carries some of the most sacred talismanic alignments in Eastern iconography, acting as a powerful energetic anchor for the modern wearer:

  • The Protective Armor of Wuji: In traditional jade lore, black and dark grey Wuji jadeite is celebrated as the ultimate stone of energetic defense and spiritual boundaries. It acts as a heavy metaphysical shield, traditionally used to absorb negative ambient energy, repel outside chaos, and clear away toxic daily stress.

  • The Solar Spark of Huang Fei: The gold and yellow patches activate the earth and solar elements, representing rock-solid confidence, mental clarity, and the continuous accumulation and secure retention of wealth. Together with the charcoal base, it creates a perfectly balanced energetic cycle.

  • The Ultimate Pulse Armor: Worn as an unbroken circle directly over the wrist’s vital energy pathways, this historic 82g natural jadeite alignment acts as a living protective loop, safeguarding your inner vitality with absolute authority.

Why It Belongs in Your Signature Collection

A Sovereign Power Statement: Moving completely away from mass-produced modern jewelry or traditional single-tone green stones, the incredible translucent depth, massive 15.3mm broad profile, and striking multi-toned ink tapestry of this piece make it an instant centerpiece. It delivers an unmistakably luxurious edge that commands immediate conversation and respect from fellow connoisseurs.

An Architectural Wardrobe Anchor: Because it features a breathtaking contrast of neutral charcoal, misty ice, and warm golden tones, this bangle pairs seamlessly with a modern wardrobe. It brings a sophisticated, high-fashion finish to neutral minimal tailoring (stark whites, deep blacks, and camel tones), elevates casual luxury knitwear, and transitions gorgeously into sleek evening wear.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid
Format: Paperback
Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel is a crossover collection of the main Star Wars comic series and the Doctor Aphra series. The Arc revolves around the Queen of The Screaming Citadel being the only one who can open a relic containing an ancient Jedi master. Aphra then teams up with Luke Skywalker and we have our crossover event. The story itself is good. A queen with parasitic bugs controlling a planet is uncharted territory for Star Wars and it works. There were great action moments, plots painting the Empire in a morally grey light than the traditional evil one. Doctor Aphra Marvel's golden girl character was funny in this and her chemistry with Luke worked. It didn't feel forced like Marvel was trying to use the Original Characters to build-up their new ones. Where this comic fails is the inconsistent art style as this is a collection you get different art with each issue. Its starts of good and then takes a nosedive in the Aphra issue in the volume. Bad art aside Screaming Citadel was an enjoyable crossover. Doctor Aphra is the best new character to come out of this new Marvel Disney run. Screaming Citadel is worth the read it was a nice crossover that delves more into the Fantasy elements of Star Wars and works as Star Wars has been Space Wizards since 1977.

What a ride.
Format: Paperback
How these two come together with the rest of the iconic characters is just so fun. Add in a Screaming Citadel and you're in for one hell of a ride. If you love Star Wars, pick it up. It could read as a stand-alone if needed. Part of the Doctor Aphra comics.

Absolutely top-knotch
Format: Kindle
9.5/10 This is the pinnacle of Star Wars comic books. A great way to tie in their Indiana Jones character in Aphra and the mainline series to tell an amazing story. Only complaint is a couple of the issues artwork I was not a fan of. I like the more realistic look. Just make sure you read Aphra book 1 and the previous SW books to understand it better. Aphra book 1 being more important

Star Wars embraces fantasy
Format: Paperback
This is Star Wars at its' strangest, and that's a very good thing. Luke and co. fighting through what could easily be Dracula's castle is a truly unique experience. I don't wish to say more for fear of spoilers. As a note though you will get more out of this if you've been following the Star Wars and Dr. Aphra comics. However you can get by without that knowledge as well.

Gothic Star Wars
Format: Paperback
This trade paperback collects all the issues for the Screaming Citadel story spread over several titles, including the main stay Star Wars series and the Dr Aphra book. As one might expect from a story spread over different titles with different artists and writers, the presentation varies. The art is all over the place. In the Marco Checchetto-drawn initial issue, everyone’s favorite amoral artifact hunter, Dr Aphra, is a striking space vixen. But in the following issues she’s hardly recognizable as the same character--mousier, if still menacing, in her trademark Russian tanker’s hat. To a lesser degree, the same is true for the other characters, including the main SW group. It’s understandable, but a bit disconcerting. The story centers on Dr Aphra, who, in need of a Jedi for one of her typically nefarious purposes, recruits Luke into her scheme. Unfortunately for Aphra, she’s up against a more ruthless foe in the harlequin-looking vampire-like Queen of the Screaming Citadel. Before long, the rest of the group has to show up to rescue them. It’s a gothic story, set in scary castle—not the usual Star Wars fare. There are some good points. Dr Aphra’s almost sociopathic outlook is always good for a few choice lines, the “murderous machines” Bee Tee and Triple Zero are on hand for their own gruesome commentary and some of the Queens hench-people, while not given much to do, are interestingly designed. But overall, the horror movies plotline didn’t seem much like Star Wars to me. Recommended for those who enjoy that type of story, or completists.
