Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the battery and remove the engine cowling.
2. Shift the outboard into neutral and remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase).
3. Carefully separate the lower unit from the upper casing.
4. Unbolt and remove the water pump housing cover.
5. Slide the old impeller off the driveshaft, removing the woodruff key.
6. Remove the old wear plate, gaskets, and seals. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
7. Install the new gasket and wear plate onto the lower unit.
8. Place the new woodruff key in its slot on the driveshaft and slide the new impeller on, turning clockwise to seat the vanes.
9. Install the new cartridge insert, o-rings, and other components as supplied in the kit.
10. Re-install the water pump housing and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
11. Re-attach the lower unit to the engine, ensuring the driveshaft and water tube align correctly.
12. Securely tighten all bolts, reconnect the battery, and test the engine's cooling function with a water supply.
