〈MUD-DYEING 泥染め〉大島紬の製作工程に由来し、もともとは絹糸を染めるために生まれた、日本の伝統的な染色技法です。
テーチ木（バラ科の車輪梅）から抽出した染料と、泥田に含まれる鉄分との化学反応を利用して染色を行います。
テーチ木をチップ状にして煮出した後、4〜5日寝かせて染料を抽出し、そのテーチ木染料（タンニン酸）で染色。
その後、石灰によるアルカリで中和させながら染めを進めていきます。
この工程をおよそ10回繰り返すことで、深みと奥行きのある色合いを生み出しています。

...and smells good too!
This lotion seems to be making my crepe skin kinda disappear?? It is so moisturizing & the scent is heavenly. I have used it on my face but it was a little much so I had to put it on while my skin was wet with water. That seemed to do the trick. In Colorado your skin can get super dry & this product seems to replenish softness & moisture.
