【素材の特徴】
尾州の歴史ある機屋のアーカイブ資料を参考に、オールシーズン着用可能な素材を目指して再解釈したオリジナル生地。
自然な風合いを大事にした粗野な綿の強撚糸を、旧式のシャトル織機で織り上げる事で、綿らしくないドライで硬さのある独特の風合いの生地に仕上げました。
経糸と緯糸の引き揃え本数に変則性を与える事で、無地の生地でありながらも、凸凹とした立体的なドビー組織の格子柄を構築しています。
人の手で丁寧に手織りされた骨董品かの様な唯一無二の存在感。使用に伴う、味のある経年変化も非常に楽しみな生地です。
製品洗いを施しているので、着古したかの様なクタッとしたシワの入った風合いが特徴です。
