Porterfield R4

Porterfield R4 Carbon Kevlar based brake pads were fully designed for heavy-duty extreme motorsports use. Its one of the the few true motorsports competition pads available on the market today. The carbon based semi metallic R4 brake material allows the brake pad to absorb huge amounts of heat and dissipate it quickly and evenly over time. The Carbon-Kevlar material also allows the brake pad to heat up to operating temperature right away so little pad warmup is required for optimal operating condition. This compound also requires very little bed-in so that one is able to change out the pads and almost immediately able use them to their full potential.

R4 series provides high initial bite for immediate brake response while yielding extremely consistent modulation and predictability. This is great for all road courses, oval track, rally, vintage racing, autocross, club events, and professional driving events. This is one of the best motorsports pads we have used. Porterfield R4-1

The R4-1 Vintage Full Race Compound was developed using knowledge testing in the vintage racing community. Optimum uses for the R4-1, under conditions where very high friction is needed with minimal warm up time and in applications where there is difficulty in maintaining sufficient heat with conventional race pad compounds. Widely used on vintage GT and formula cars the R4-1 is also gaining popularity in off-road and rally-cross classes. Great modulation, consistent pedal feedback and rotor friendly at all temperatures as with all the other Porterfield Carbon Kevlar compounds.

Porterfield R4-E

The R4-E Endurance Race Compound is a carbon kevlar compound made to last a bit longer than the original R-4 compound. The R4-E compound is designed to endure higher prolonged temperature and still has pad life as long or longer than Porterfield R-4 do. This pad is great for club enduro events and applications where temperatures are at their maximum.

Porterfield R4-S

Porterfield R4-S high performance street and autocross brake pads are great for heavy-duty street and light track applications. Compound is perfect for everyday use while still keeping the highly capable track ready performance. The R4-S features a high friction level that will increase your stopping power with minimal pedal effort.

The R4-S series pads are VERY VERY rotor friendly and yield very low levels of dust; levels are far below OEM equipment or any other high performance brake pads. Your car will stop better and your wheels will stay cleaner longer. Good for autocross, rallies, driving school, and of course daily driving with a little extra stopping power. R4-S pads are available for virtually all vehicles sold in the US and custom R4-S pad sizes for competition style calipers are also available.

This is one of the very best all around street/strip brake pads available at a great price.

They fit perfectly. They are the best pair of shoes My husband's ever wore! the smell of that new leather is incredible. It is real leather, not imitation leather. It's a little tight across the top portion of his foot right before his toes start, but I believe that can be stretched out, they just have to be broken in. they are so classy and snazzy. The front of the toe part is a little darker than the rest. But it Kind of blends in fades into the rest of the leather. It will scratch easily. So you have to be careful, it's real leather. It's soft but not like felt soft and its shiny. This is the kind of shoe you actually need The old school shoe Polish in a buffer cloth. I didn't think that we would like or he would like the white soul but it does not look bad like I thought it would be. It does not stand out. It blends right in perfectly with the shoe. Any of their color would have not matched. If you're on the fence about this nice dress, you don't be. this name Shoe actually lives up to its reputation. It was incredible and no, I'm not just saying that. if it sucked, I would say so. it's a great shoe in every way. It has a cushioned soft leather insole. It's a little thinner piece of velour feeling leather In the instep. It is such a great shoe definitely worth the purchase. The size does fit. He wears a 10 and a 1/2. That's what we got, and that fits perfectly. I think he could have gotten 11 and got away with it, so he wouldn't have to break the top portion in. But there's plenty of toe room, it's just where your outer edge of your foot an the bone, right before your big toe, so like I said, right across the widest portion of your foot needs to be stretched out broken in. once he breaks that in the shoe fits perfectly. so you can size up half a size you probably can get away with it, just fine God bless!

High quality comfortable shoes from Rockport

I've been a fan of Rockport shoes since buying my first pair in the 1980's. I actually still have that pair and had them resoled once. This shoe has the style and profile of a dress shoe but is finished in a nice smooth suede-like grey color. Typical of Rockport shoes, they are flexible and lightweight. The upper is genuine leather, something getting harder to find in reasonably priced quality shoes. That should make these more durable than artificial leather. The insole is sculpted and soft with just a bit of memory foam padding with good arch support. They are removable and I assume replaceable. The soles are flexible and grippy, and the heel is low and comfortable. I ordered my usual size, 13W and they fit well, just a tiny bit tight on the top where they lace if wearing thick socks until they stretch a bit. Due to the shape of the toe box they look a little long, but there is plenty of toe space. These were very comfortable, true to size, well made and very nice looking shoes. I expect them to be durable and last a long time as all of my other Rockport shoes have in the past. These would look great with jeans or khaki's or even with more dressy clothing, they can be casual or dressy. Even though these are well made and genuine leather with Rockport's reputation for comfort and quality they cost less than many sneakers.

Rockport makes great shoe wear
Size: 11.5 Wide, Color: Dark Taupe Suede
I have owned Rockport shoes before and this pair lives up to the brand’s reputation for comfort. Right out of the box they felt broken in with very little adjustment period. The genuine leather upper looks nice and gives the shoe a more polished appearance than many casual options while still being comfortable enough for daily wear. The cushioning is one of the strongest features. The truTECH system does a good job absorbing impact and provides noticeable comfort during long days on my feet. The removable insoles add versatility and make it easy to customize the fit or use orthotics if needed. The quality appears very good with clean stitching and solid construction throughout. The leather feels durable and should age well with normal use. Ease of use is excellent since they slip on easily and require very little maintenance beyond occasional cleaning and conditioning. Size was accurate for me and the availability of different widths is a major advantage. Compatibility with different foot shapes is often overlooked but Rockport does a good job here. Value for money is strong considering the comfort quality and durability. Overall these are comfortable well-made shoes that work equally well for the office casual outings or everyday wear.

So Comfortable!

These are easily some of the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever owned. From the first time I put them on, they felt broken in and required very little adjustment. The fit is excellent, providing plenty of room in the toe box without squeezing or cramping my toes on the sides, which is often a problem with dress shoes. The suede is soft, supple, and feels like a quality material rather than the stiff suede found on many lower-priced shoes. The craftsmanship appears solid, and the shoes have a refined look that works well for both business and casual occasions. They are true to size and fit exactly as expected. I was also pleasantly surprised by how lightweight they feel while still offering good support throughout the day. Based on the quality of the suede and construction, I expect them to hold up well over time. The suede is soft enough to be comfortable but seems durable enough to handle occasional rain and everyday wear.

A good shoe from a trusted brand

I'm mostly happy with these so far. They're generally well made, they look great, and I know they'll last a long time. They're real leather, which is always greatly appreciated in this synthetic era. They are pretty dang supportive and comfortable overall. They're lightweight and the price is right. But there are a few negatives, mainly on the comfort front. The right shoe fits perfectly, but the left one isn't quite right. It feels like the top of the heel is stitched a little too tight, such that it digs into the back of my heel when I walk. Now, this isn't uncommon for me with new shoes, but I do kind of expect better from Rockport. The other issue is that the shoes feel a little bit slippery on low pile carpets and tile. Now I'm sure both of those issues are temporary, and will resolve as the shoes break in. Still, they're noticeable. What can I say? They're Rockports. You know they're going to be solid shoes. I almost love these shoes, and really, I'm sure in a few months, when they're fully broken in, I will love them unreservedly. But not quite yet.
